InforSim has performed a variety of ocean engineering studies including:
      • design and dynamic simulation of submersibles, torpedoes, buoys and
        moorings
      • flow field modeling of sea water intake and waster water discharge
        systems
      • estimation of wind/wave/current loading on ocean structures
      • acoustic propagation modeling to predict sonar signal-to-noise ratio
      • at-sea environmental monitoring (see illustration)
      • laminar flow research

Applying sophisticated system engineering techniques, we have also optimized the design and overall performance of complex multi- component ocean systems including:
      • offshore aquaculture farms to determine the size and number of net
pens, ocean installation sites, and operational scheduling of the
        production cycle
      • Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) plants to determine optimal
plant scaling, thermal Rankine cycle performance, offshore containment
structure location, cold water pipe size and routing, and heat exchanger
        configurations.
